This is a great opportunity for a technically minded person with an interest in Linux, keen to further their career in hardware and software. We are a small and growing software engineering firm who are punching above our weight in radio engineering with our popular online platform, CloudRF.com
As a Linux Systems Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring our exclusively Linux infrastructure. We have global high performance Linux servers including unique GPU compute capabilities.
You will be working on new technologies including Software-as-a-Service, APIs, virtualisation, LiDAR processing and GPU acceleration supporting diverse, and growing, communications markets such as IoT, 5G, Defence, Agtech and Events broadcasting.
Responsibilities
- System availability and performance monitoring
- Secure our systems against threats
- System maintenance and patching
- Deploy and setup containers and VMs
Requirements
- Linux administration experience, preferably Debian/Ubuntu
- Networking experience including VPN, gateways and bridging
- Solid OS and network security knowledge
- Must be a UK or EU national with a driving licence
Desirable
- Scripting experience – Either Bash, Python or equivalent
- Experience of GIS tools, standards and processing raster data
- Docker container management
- Virtualisation experience, preferably KVM / Proxmox
