As an international company we are looking for HSE Engineer for our project in United Kingdom.
QUALIFICATIONS
- UK citizenship required.
- NEBOSH certificate is an asset.
- More than 2-3 years of experience in in solar or other industrial power plant construction projects
. Bachelor’s (Graduate) in Related Department: Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related field
- ISO 45001:2018 Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Knowledge and Internal Auditor certificates,
. Deep knowledge of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations,
. Be able to create safety plans like Construction Phase Plan and Environmental management Plan,
- Knowledge of international HSE regulations and norms,
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines,
- Knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment,
- Ability to think independently and analyze situations easily,
- Having strong problem-solving skills,
- Self-confident and highly proactive personality,
- Fluent in spoken and written English,
- Advanced level of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Maintains an effective control of Health, Safety, and Environmental risk and impact management, together with the processes of auditing, review and feedback,
- Investigates industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
- Plans and carries out assignments in conformance with accepted HSE policies and practices,
- Resolves commonly encountered work problems and deviations by exercising judgment in selecting appropriate instructions, policies, guidelines, or accepted practices.
- Monitors the implementation of safety and loss prevention plans throughout the projects,
- Develops and implements safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions,
- Advises employees on how to minimize or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace
- Complies with the company’s HSE Management System,
- Identifies and corrects potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant industry safety practices,
- Investigates accidents to minimize recurrence and prepare accident reports,
- Arranges and participates in daily and weekly safety meetings,
- Ensures that all activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with approved HSE procedures, plans and practices,
- Participates in regular plant meetings and advice on safety practices, safe use of equipment and use of PPE; ensures that agreed actions are duly and timely implemented,
- Advises Project and Site Managers of needs for improvements in procedures, training, information materials and/or equipment, etc.
- Carries out regular inspections alone or together with Project/Site management in order to track degree of compliance with legislation, regulations and procedures,
- Organizes and manages all the HSE related topics and keeps the records accordingly,
- Evaluates practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law,
- Prepares and enforces policies to establish a culture of health and safety,
- Ensures that periodical HSE measurement and monitoring activities as per local legislation and internal regulations are performed,
- Monitors and controls subcontractor's HSE performance and conducts periodic HSE meetings on site,
- Stops any activities under immediate risky situations,
- Conducts training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Trains and coaches site staff according to the internal HSE instructions.
