About us
The UCL Division of Medicine has approximately 400 staff with 130 independent investigators and is one of the largest department in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, within the School of Life and Medical Sciences. The Division brings together clinical and non-clinical scientists in an interdisciplinary environment for world-class research, teaching and patient-care. The Division is located across two campuses, i.e. the Bloomsbury Campus and the Royal Free Campus (based on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.
About the role
The main responsibility of the post holder will be leading on finance based issues across the Division liaising with the Divisional Manager, Divisional Director, senior academic colleagues and other UCL departments. The post holder will also ensure that effective procedures for the management of the Division’s accounts are maintained/developed for all areas of divisional activity. This is a responsible and demanding position with a wide range of duties, therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to show flexibility, initiative and commitment. About you
You will ensure that effective procedures for the management of the Division’s accounts are maintained/developed for all areas of divisional activity. The post holder will be preparing the Division’s annual budget and projections working with the Divisional Manager to ensure they are in accordance with both the University’s and the Division’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring that month and year-end accounting procedures are processed in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with set deadlines working closely with the school finance team.
