We’re excited to recruit for this newly created role of IT Commercial Lead at Golding where you’ll be able to play a key role in managing our IT suppliers, supporting and managing IT procurement processes, assisting with contract management, and playing an active role in forecasting and IT budget planning.


What you'll be doing


You’ll assist the Business Change Leadership Team with defining the IT budget as well as supporting the forecasting process alongside the IT Leadership and Finance Teams. You’ll manage and support the IT procurement processes across the broader Business Change team including the ordering of new hardware and software as required.


You’ll proactively engage with and manage our IT suppliers, ensuring we are achieving the most out of our relationships, including value for money and social value. You’ll develop a clear understanding of our suppliers’ roadmaps, incorporating this information into the development of our technology estate and the delivery of our transformation programme. Another part of this position will be to maintain information on the relevant systems, monitor supplier data and manage analysis with the goal of improving Golding’s supply chain operations. You’ll be able to provide management information and develop new dashboards showing key supplier metrics and ensure renewals and terminations are reviewed, processed, and completed with enough time to ensure best value is achieved.


More about you. What can you bring?


We’re looking for an IT Commercial Lead with proven experience managing a similar function including cost and supplier relationship management. With good budget management experience, you will be able to manage the service and/or project delivery with suppliers.


Strong negotiation, influencing and communications skills are key to this role, and you will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft products especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential


You’ll need to have an understanding of the structure of contracts, procurement processes, and of IT and modern supplier trends.


When and where you'll be doing it


You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of circa £52,000.
