Videographer, Creative Director Full Time

Position Overview:

The Creative Director will lead the creation and management of high-quality content across various platforms, with a primary focus on our online magazine and social media channels. This role will involve overseeing the full content lifecycle, from pre-production and planning to delivery and post-production management. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong creative vision and the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team of filmmakers, audio recorders, presenters, social media handlers, and digital marketers. This role is pivotal in driving traffic and engagement for the online magazine and supporting the broader organisation’s marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation & Management:

  • Lead the development of engaging content, including articles, videos, podcasts, and social media posts for the online magazine and other platforms.
  • Oversee the entire content production process, from concept development and pre-production to final delivery and post-production editing.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s voice, style, and messaging, maintaining a consistent and high-quality output.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to plan and schedule content across all channels, ensuring timely and regular publication.

2. Creative Direction & Strategy:

  • Define the creative vision for the online magazine, social media, and other content projects, ensuring innovative and compelling storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and conversions for the magazine and the organisation’s endeavours.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about current trends in digital content, social media, and audience preferences.
  • Analyse performance metrics and use insights to refine and improve content strategies, ensuring optimal reach and engagement.

3. Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of creatives, including filmmakers, audio recorders, presenters, social media handlers, and digital marketers.
  • Provide direction, feedback, and support to the team throughout the content production process, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Build a collaborative and inspiring work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and maintain alignment with project goals.

4. Social Media & Online Magazine Management:

  • Oversee the management and growth of social media channels, ensuring content is tailored to each platform’s audience and best practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive traffic to the online magazine, increase viewers and readership, and boost engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to audience interactions, creating a positive and engaged community around the magazine and social media channels.
  • Collaborate with social media handlers and digital marketers to develop and execute campaigns that promote the magazine and other content.

5. Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that supports broader organisational goals, including fundraising campaigns, events, and promotional materials.
  • Develop marketing assets such as graphics, videos, and promotional copy for use across various platforms and campaigns.
  • Ensure that all marketing content is aligned with the brand's messaging and strategic objectives.

6. Quality Control & Post-Production:

  • Oversee the post-production process, including editing, proofreading, and finalising content for publication.
  • Ensure all content meets the highest quality standards, is error-free, and is optimised for SEO and audience engagement.
  • Implement a feedback and review process to continually improve content quality and production efficiency.

Key Targets:

  • Increase traffic and engagement for the online magazine and social media channels by a defined percentage each quarter.
  • Successfully deliver high-quality content that meets brand standards and audience expectations on a regular, consistent basis.
  • Grow the social media following and improve engagement metrics across all platforms.
  • Support the organisation’s marketing objectives by creating effective and compelling content for campaigns and promotions.
  • Create and maintain a high-performing creative team, ensuring timely project delivery and continuous skill development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Content Creator, Creative Director, or in a similar role, preferably in digital media, publishing, or a creative agency.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of content types, including, videos, and social media campaigns.
  • Excellent storytelling, and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and audiences.
  • Experience in leading and managing creative teams, with a focus on collaboration and team development.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing strategies, and SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, and social media management tools.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
