What is the role

This new and exciting opportunity has become available to work closely with the IT Supervisor and IT Director and deal with the day to day IT challenges that face a growing business. You will be part of a team that provides support and assistance for all IT issues and problems arising within Head Office and stores. Additionally, you will assist in the configuration of new hardware, including PCs and mobile phones, and place orders with suppliers.

What you will do

• Provide assistance to users, including remote users, in the use of the business’s personal hardware, mobile hardware and software.
• Set up, configure and administer desktop computers, peripherals and accounts, assigning pre-agreed security levels and access policies.
• Administer user accounts
• Test and install hardware and software
• Maintain IT systems including the network, individual workstations, telephones and peripherals
• Design and produce electronic user forms and reports
• Fast diagnostics/repairs to IT issues at all times
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn about the existing IT systems and to pro-actively keep up to date with ongoing developments in IT

What you will bring

• An IT qualification would be beneficial however by no means is it essential
• Proficient Microsoft Office User with fast and accurate keyboard skills
• Understanding of computers and systems
• Excellent problem-solving attributes
• Working knowledge of IT software basics
• Data analysis and report writing skills
• Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person
• Strong attention to detail and able to produce work with a high level of accuracy
• Good organisational and workload management skills specifically with the ability to prioritise own work
• Ability to work as part of a small team to support a rapidly growing organisation
• Able to respond to changing priorities
• Able to analyse information
• Willingness to accept responsibility
• Flexibility and a positive "can do" attitude
