Job Title: Residential Cleaner
Location: Client homes within Basingstoke
Employment Type: Employed and Self-Employed/Contractor options available
Pay: £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
General Cleaning:
- Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum all areas of the home.
- Clean bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and sinks.
- Clean kitchens, including appliances, countertops, and sinks.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Tidy areas and assist with small tasks within the household.
Maintenance:
- Monitor and report any necessary repairs or replacements of cleaning equipment.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning products and equipment.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
Client Interaction:
- Communicate effectively and courteously with clients.
- Address specific client requests and requirements for cleaning.
- Show empathy and understanding towards clients dependent on their needs, adapting cleaning tasks to accommodate their requirements.
- Respect clients' privacy and property.
Health & Safety:
- Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous residential cleaning experience preferred. However, we provide training and shadowing shifts. More important is a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a genuine care for the quality of your work.
Skills:
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good time management skills.
- Empathy and understanding in dealing with clients' individual needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Capability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products safely.
Personal Attributes:
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic and respectful towards clients with special needs.
- Self-motivated and able to manage own schedule and finances.
Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to client homes within the service area.
- Must have appropriate insurance coverage. We can help you source insurance if you need support.
- Must be able to speak English fluently.
- Must be prepared to undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Must have a clean full driving licence.
Additional Information:
- Work Environment: This role involves working in various client homes, each with unique environments and cleaning requirements.
- Schedule: Primarily within school hours, with extended hours available upon request. We will work with you to build up your client base and find a schedule that suits your needs.
