To provide day to day care for service users under supervision of a Clinician which adheres to best practice, standards and guidelines, and contributes towards the service users care and treatment.

Work in partnership with service users, other members of the MDT staff as appropriate, to achieve the optimum health outcome for clients

To be part of the MDT in providing a high and consistent level of holistic care, maintaining the dignity and equality of the individual. This includes direct care.

We have Healthcare Assistant vacancy in our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit which is a Mental Health Team, based in Heddfan Wrexham. Health Care Support Workers are at the absolute heart of what we do, delivering frontline care and support.

Your work will involve working with those who are experiencing a acute phase of their mental health, working with those who experience mental health problems such as personality disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar and Psychosis. Your role will include supporting those to recover from an acute phase of mental illness and to encouraging independence throughout recovery.

We are looking for well-motivated, conscientious and friendly people who are willing to learn and to play a key role in improving the lives of the patients we work with. You will have contact with patients, relatives, other members of the public and professionals from partner organisations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
