TU Online Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Teesside University with a dedicated focus upon providing flexible online learning opportunities across a range of 100% online courses, from degrees to doctorates.

TU Online Ltd is looking for an online Tutor to support and deliver teaching upon the BEng (tech) Mechanical Engineering.

Successful candidates will be expected to have a Masters or equivalent professional or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field. Experience in computer aided analysis, mechanics of materials, product quality and reliability, sustainable systems and industry 4.0 is desirable.

The successful applicant will have the ability and willingness to promote the learning of adults through online based tuition methods, the ability to supervise students on independent study projects at undergraduate level and the ability to use information and communication technology in teaching and supporting students. You will also be expected to have an appreciation of how adults learn, an appreciation of study skills and a commitment to student-centred learning.

Candidates will be expected to possess experience in best practice online teaching and pedagogy. Ideally candidates will have experience in, virtual learning environments / learner management systems and the higher education sector. Please note the role is predominantly remote (within the UK) with an expectation to visit our Middlesbrough campus for training and bi-monthly visits.

The role is predominantly working from home however there will be a requirement to work from Campus when on an adhoc basis to attend meetings, training etc.

TU Online Ltd are not a licensed employer for the UK’s Points Based Immigration System and, therefore, are unable to offer sponsorship to individuals who would require a Skilled Worker visa to work in the UK.
