Legacy Strategies are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer to work with our specialist Civil Engineering client in the Leeds area.
Full Time | Permanent | Office-based
Our client specialises in tunnelling and geotechnical civil engineering, with a stellar reputation for delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK and beyond.
We are seeking a talented and motivated CAD Engineer to support their engineering and design team in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and execution of projects, providing high-quality design and drafting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed CAD drawings and designs for tunnelling and geotechnical projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
- Modify and revise designs to accommodate changes and updates in project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and integrate it into design plans.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all design work and project documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior CAD technicians and other team members.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Engineer, preferably in the civil engineering sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design tools.
- Strong knowledge of tunnelling and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies is a plus.
