We are excited to be recruiting for an IT Tester to join our busy IT Department. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary based in Leeds/Skipton, North Yorkshire (hybrid).


You will be responsible in assisting to make sure that the reports and apps we produce and provide to the business are of the greatest calibre possible. To assist the IT team in testing in order to confirm and find problems prior to the business receiving reports and apps. This will include interacting with stakeholders to enhance the results (quality and data integrity) that the IT Team delivers to the Business, whether they be Business, Business Analyst, or Developer.


Roles Specific Responsibilities

  • To make sure the test plan accurately represents the given application or report, it will be necessary to collaborate with the business analyst and development team to create test plans based on the requirements, specifications, and wireframes. Any modifications made to the actual deliverable will be tracked.
  • To test against the test plans, work with the developer and business analyst to provide input on any questions or issues found. You should also keep track of progress when problems are fixed, including by retesting earlier tests.
  • to oversee, manage, and keep track of the status of business testing for significant ERP software releases as well as, if necessary, for sporadic hotfixes and updates. Numerous business users from various business disciplines are included in this.
  • Be proactive and have an impact on how we test, the techniques we employ, and the ongoing development of our testing function.
  • Adopt and make use of digital tools and software, as well as any necessary training, and inspire others to do the same.
  • Proactively recording both the Cost & Efficiency and SHE occurrences, including but not limited to doing so, and taking whatever action falls within your purview to either fix the event, if necessary, or report it to an appropriate person. a positive outlook on the tactics and the ability to inspire others around you to report incidents and use the strategies.
  • Prior to significant system updates, to design, implement, and carry out test plans for the work being provided by the development team within the business and for the business ERP solution. Additionally, evaluating new software from other vendors will be a part of it.

Qualifications – preferred but not mandatory

  • ISTQB Foundation Level – Agile Tester
