Assistant Height Safety Engineer

Job Purpose:
Are you ready to take on a hands-on role with a focus on safety and excellence? PTSG is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Height Safety Engineer to assist in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of roof access safety systems. Work with top-notch equipment including Latchways, Capital Safety Systems, abseil anchors, davit systems, handrails, and eyebolts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in delivering various working-at-height projects.
- Accurately record installation, inspection, and certification details.
- Diagnose faults and assist in equipment repairs.
- Support team members by maintaining tools and equipment.
- Follow method statements, risk assessments, and safety regulations.
- Prioritize safety in all tasks.
- Communicate professionally with team members, clients, and contractors.
- Work effectively as part of the onsite team.
- Maintain a professional image with corporate clothing and a clean company van.
Job Context / Key Challenges:
Based out of our Sheffield office, you'll work across the UK in a role that requires physical fitness and a strong commitment to safety. Working at heights is a significant part of this job.

Person Profile:
- Previous construction site experience and comfort working at heights.
- Good level of physical fitness due to the hands-on nature of the role.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with a flexible, dynamic approach.
- Full valid driving license preferred.
- Proficient with small hand tools and battery-operated tools.
