The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Planning & Pricing Analyst is part of a Global team. The team is high performing, close-knit and proactive. Given the global nature of this role, the position will liaise with the Australian head office to coordinate the various financial plans and ensure they link in with the overall corporate and strategic plans. The Senior Financial Planning & Pricing Analyst will be responsible for the management reporting and costing function for Abt Britain. This will require a detailed approach, as this role will undertake financial reviews, forecast and financial analysis. This role will support the bid and tender process for Abt Britain.

Core Responsibilities

These responsibilities of the role are outlined below. Keeping in mind, this is a cross-functional team, an agile approach to conducting financial planning, pricing and other analysis is required.

  • Support the development of the commercial strategy and assist with the pricing of tenders
  • Be a key business partner to senior management, and act as a subject matter expert on cost and revenue reporting matters.
  • Manage the end of month reporting process and liaise with the Australian head office and in-country project finance teams to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with the Abt Britain Business Development team and Global Development Group (GDG) Global Pricing team to prepare fully compliant and accurate financial proposals for client tender submissions.
  • Assist with preparation of business development reports, including early assessment of pipeline opportunities.
  • Provide objective and relevant analysis and modelling to support the development of budgets and business plans.
  • Track and analyze financial data on existing programs to inform financial proposals.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports as well as ad hoc reports when necessary.
  • Strong data analysis skills to extract key financial information for analysis and reporting,
  • Strong data interpretation skills and ability to provide best practice advice on data from financial management system for use in financial models.
  • Support the quarterly forecasting process.
  • Support the annual long-range planning process.
  • Liaise with Abt’s accounting team in end of month reviews.
  • Conduct reporting and financial analysis as directed.
  • Ad-hoc support and backup to the Accounting team.
  • Other duties as directed.

What We Value

  • CPA/CA/CIMA qualifications (or studying towards) will be highly-regarded, although not essential
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills, aptitude, and flexibility
  • Power BI experience will be a advantage
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills as well as a level of cultural awareness
