We are recruiting for an experienced Category Marketing Manager to develop and deliver compelling and relevant category propositions and marketing campaigns that engage customers in the category and deliver commercial results.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- You will be responsible for developing compelling, customer-centric propositions and marketing activity for the category.
- You will build a strong relationship with the Trading Director and Head of Trade, as well as their senior team, swiftly becoming the trusted gateway into marketing for that category
- You will work collaboratively and ensure that all deliverables meet commercial targets and land effectively with point of sale, right first time in stores, being aware and mindful of any operational challenges.
- You will develop proposition briefs for specific category initiatives that meet commercial objectives and are aligned with key stakeholders. Briefs will include clear budgets, timings, and consumer targets.
- You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the category proposition and campaigns and for working with other marketing teams to ensure consistency, accuracy and relevance to brief and campaign objectives via our marketing gate process as well as continually seeking ways to improve the process.
- You will be positioned as the go-to category expert for the category within the wider marketing team.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Ability to create engaging and customer-centric proposition briefs that deliver against commercial objectives
- Strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple multi-channel campaigns
- Commercially-minded - with a passion to understand the numbers and insights, so we can develop learnings for future activity
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong creative eye and ability to sense which messages will resonate with customers
- Previous experience with insight and market share data would be beneficial (e.g. Kantar, IRI)
