Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner Full Time

We are looking to recruit Trainee Education mental health practitioners. This is a training position and the post holder will be undertaking the training at the University of Derby alongside working in the Mental Health Support Team.

The role is specific and involves offering Low Intensity interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Techniques for Children and Young People. All applicants will need to meet the criteria laid out by the University of Derby to access the training course – either post graduate or graduate.

You can expect Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which is tailored to meet your professional development; individual CPD advice is available from our Practice Education Team.

You will receive supervision in line with the Trust values and the training course.

Interviews will take place 24th to 27th September 2024.

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality; outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing, mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.

The Mental Health Support Teams are currently based in two sites across the locality. These are Stoke, the Staffordshire Moorlands and North Staffordshire.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a developing service with high expectations for improving the outcomes for children and families in Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.

This is an exciting time in the Transformation of Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services, and as one of the founding areas for this service, this role is a perfect opportunity to help shape the services we provide in Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire in our MHST schools.
