This mission is to support Powertrain and Product Engineering in their objectives of achieving timely, secure, accessible data to enable high quality product release, as well as providing data to support root cause analysis and investigate potential specification transgressions in manufacturing and in the field.

Our state-of-the-art laboratory boasts an array of cutting-edge metrology equipment, from high accuracy CMMs to Optical and X-Ray CT systems, reflecting our commitment to staying at the forefront of technology.

As we reimagine our vehicles and company in the electrified era, Metrology is being transformed to support the analysis of new powertrain technologies throughout the product lifecycle.

We’re seeking a passionate Metrology Engineer to play a crucial role in developing and evaluating our metrology calibration systems for precise measurement of various physical characteristics. The Metrology engineer will utilize their advanced knowledge and experience to ensure the reliability and accuracy of measurement processes, identify error sources, and develop innovative calibration methods.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate advanced metrology calibration systems for measuring various physical characteristics
• Identify error sources contributing to measurement uncertainty and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring high reliability in quantitative terms
• Manage metrology projects and processes, working independently to achieve project goals with limited supervision
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of metrology processes in product testing and development
• Apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex measurement challenges and ensure precision in data collection and analysis
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the metrology lab, focusing on enhancing measurement accuracy, efficiency, and innovation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Experience in developing and evaluating metrology systems and calibration methods
• Proven knowledge and experience with a wide range of instrumentation and test equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on precision and accuracy
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Experience of technical mentoring and coaching
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
