Iron Mountain is currently looking to fill the role of Vice President, Cluster Commercial Leader, UKI. The person chosen for this role will provide strategic leadership with a specific focus on high-growth markets (country). They will also be accountable for overall business results and growth in line with the business plan, as well as revenue and EBITDA within the cluster. This includes the leadership, oversight and development of the commercial team in order to achieve set goals.
The CCL will work closely with cross-functional teams as well as develop and nurture a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the Operations organization. This person will also play a pivotal role in building a solid internal team culture that reflects the company’s values while also maintaining a supportive, team-focused atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will be able to leverage and build upon their positive reputation and relationships with customers and partners within the local market. The CCL will ultimately serve as the connection between country organization and our ESA & Global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing overall sales leadership and profitable revenue growth. The VP drives all sales efforts while overseeing the management of business development and strategy execution. The role ensures key sales activity metrics and procedures are met or exceeded.
- Creation of a roadmap to deliver account revenue growth and profitability for an assigned set of accounts. Lead the team as we embed a solution-selling culture, build higher-level relationships through rigorous opportunity and Account Planning with our customers, and seek to understand their challenges. Creates a culture of accountability and customer centricity.
- Taking ownership of all customers in the cluster (excluding GI customers)
- Acting as the voice of the customer, ensuring proper customer service levels are maintained and we exceed customer expectations. Function as a senior liaison within sales, solutions, implementation, and delivery/ ongoing customer support functions to manage, escalate, and resolve issues as appropriate. Define the goals for customer service levels and work with the regional counterparts to drive a customer-centric culture of performance for our global accounts.
- Maintains significant knowledge of customer’s business trends, current macro and micro economic climate, competitive awareness, legislation, market intelligence, and potential new business ideas to exploit growth opportunities and provide long-term strategic direction.
- Contribute to the overall Iron Mountain cluster commercial strategy with a particular focus on customer requirements and revenue acceleration
- Build the high performing team for now and for the future. Provide overall hands-on leadership to the team by building, motivating, training, coaching and developing a high performing sales team to meet the growing and changing needs of the customer.
- Regularly assess business development plans, quarterly business reviews, contracts, reporting, and gain an understanding of the key players in our global client relationships. Develop and implement a plan for gaining deeper trust and engagement of senior/executive management for both our clients and ourselves.
- Design, develop, and implement our Go to Market strategy to ensure it aligns and supports our enterprise goals.
- General Management responsibilities including; ability to coordinate across the enterprise in order to achieve results and collaborate to a accomplish business objectives; very strong problem solving and ability to resolve issues; lead and implement change while transforming the business; P&L mind-set
- Drive internal employee culture and engagement
- Maintain compliance on all applicable operational, financial, legal and labour-related standards
- Understand market trends and sector-related market information; identify impact to customers and share internally for further analysis

- Customer Obsessed: expert at opportunity qualification to validate “fit for purpose” application of IRM’s offerings against defined customer strategic requirements. Strong presentation skills showcasing complex solutions and business case frameworks internally, and in the course of client presentations.
- Global Outlook: ability to operate in a global business, understanding the importance of cultural diversity while at the same time being able to drive effective change across different cultures.
Experience Required:
- Extensive strategic sales management experience with a proven record of top-level performance that have sustainable exceeded objectives. Experience building, managing and retaining top talent in sales organizations.
- Demonstrable experience as a General Manager, Managing Director or CEO of a profit-generating business across multiple territories.
- Sound working knowledge of: sales & marketing, business planning & strategy development, service delivery, finance essentials, real estate and capital processes, legislation, people management
- Proven track record of developing strong talent, ability to connect with employees at all levels
- Inspirational people leader and culture builder; ability to build an inclusive culture where people feel a strong sense of belonging, collaboration and connection to company values; active advocate and role model in DEI space
- Ability to work in a complex matrix environment and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, domestic and international
- Ability to lead by influence, irrespective of reporting lines.
- Ability to make decisions and solve complex problems, taking into account multiple aspects and nuances
- Capable of prioritizing well for the optimal business outcomes
- Embody personal integrity and leadership which is deeply rooted in company values
- Ability to clearly articulate and communicate relevant messages to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Preferable experience in Technology related and/or in the Financial Services, Energy or Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Financial and Business acumen, comfortable interpreting data and making data driven decisions
- Experience working with legal contracts, finance, and accounting
- Sound working knowledge of: sales & marketing, business planning & strategy development, service delivery, finance essentials, real estate and capital processes, legislation, people management
