The Role…

We are looking for a Contracts Engineer to work in our Building Services Maintenance business based in Wrexham who will be responsible for the day to day delivery of contracts.

You will be part of the management team and will work towards achieving the overall objectives of the business by driving high standards of safety, work and continuous improvement in process and quality of operations.

In detail the role includes:-

  • Oversee and manage all operational requirements and programming to ensure adherence to best practices and continuity, while assuming responsibility for maintaining optimal operational resource levels
  • Maintain financial accountability for projects, oversee the operational workforce, including subcontractors, and ensure that tasks are adequately instructed and communicated
  • Generate and authorise NICEIC certification as well as other necessary testing data, ensuring that the results of inspections and tests are accurately documented
  • Prepare quotations and estimates, procure materials, and provide technical assistance and support to colleagues in the development of quotes and tender submissions
  • Conduct inspection audits, participate in client meetings, and uphold superior customer service standards while achieving key performance indicators, including customer satisfaction, first-time fix rates, productivity, and financial objectives
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with both new and existing clients to promote repeat business opportunities
  • Manage health and safety protocols to ensure that all work is executed safely, with reasonable and practical measures implemented to safeguard all parties involved
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Company Policies, with particular emphasis on operational delivery in accordance with the Company’s Safety Regulations
  • Assist the Business Manager with additional responsibilities as required

Who we want…

The successful applicant will possess:-

  • A minimum of two years of experience serving as a qualifying supervisor within a company accredited by the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC)
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams effectively
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the protocols associated with inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures relevant to various electrical operations performed
  • Proficient understanding of all electrical systems applicable in both domestic and commercial environments
  • At least five years of professional experience in electrical installations and repairs, inspection and testing, as well as the service, maintenance, and installation of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
  • Extensive familiarity with the Electricity at Work Regulations, the most recent edition of BS 7671, and the relevant Codes of Practice and guidance documents associated with the electrical work conducted
