The Opportunity:

Due to growth within the business my client is looking for an experienced HR & ER Advisor to join their team.

As an experienced advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking help with various HR issues and Employee Relations cases.

This role is permanent and is available as either a full-time or part-time position. You will predominantly be office based, however, the business is family-friendly, and extremely understandable of personal commitment. They support and encourage a sensible worklife balance and are open to discuss alternative and flexible arrangements if and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will provide accurate advice, handle administrative tasks for the ER/HR cases, and create necessary letters, forms, and reports to support the clients. Always ensuring compliance and taking into account the latest legislation.
  • You will assist in monitoring compliance with policies, procedures and legislation in this area and take appropriate action where necessary.
  • To ensure that business methods, procedures and practises are followed to the required standard.
  • First line call management for customers, assessing their needs, providing sound and legislative compliant advice accordingly, seeking clarification and guidance from Consultants in relation to more complex cases.
  • Creation of employee relation letters for customers based on their specific needs, such as disciplinary/investigation invite letters, outcome letters or letters of concern.
  • Reviewing employee relations notes of meetings to determine content of letter production.
  • Creation of bespoke policies, procedures and people guidelines for a wide range of customers in conjunction with agreed work priorities by Directors, HR Consultants.
  • Supporting with minute taking at disciplinary meetings and investigations and as required supporting customers with meetings.
  • Conducting Exit interviews and Return to Work interviews with employees on behalf of our customers.
  • Supporting Consultants in creating tailored training content within PowerPoint to meet their customer needs and support Consultants in organising and delivering training courses as required.
  • Liaising with Payroll Bureaus where required, responding to payroll queries from employees that arise to successful conclusion.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Level 5 CIPD qualified
  • Numerous years’ experience in the role of ER Advisor or HR Advisor with a track record of autonomously managing a wide variety of ER matters in a busy and professional office environment.
  • A good attention to detail to ensure client’s work is completed to a high standard
  • A good knowledge of understanding employment legislation is key and knowing the importance of using all relevant experts and other sources of information e.g., ACAS, CIPD to provide solutions for our customers.
  • Articulate with the gravitas to communicate with business owners and management teams, providing guidance and advice on best practice, trends and current/topical employment related matters.
  • A proactive and 'can do’ attitude with a focus on ensuring all customer’s needs are met in a professional and timely manner.
  • Tenacious and hard-working by nature but above all, focused on delivering an exceptional service to existing and future clients.
