We are looking for a Full Time HR People Advisor to join our team on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract in Hemel Hempstead. As a People Advisor, you will partner with the People Officer and operate as a true generalist, managing the day to day running of the HR department at the site.

HR People Advisor Role details:
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week (6 Month FTC)
Working pattern: Monday-Friday - Flexibility on Times
Location: Gist Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7PZ
What you’ll do:
- Ensuring the operational success and development of the HR department, working closely alongside senior site management
- Heavy involvement in matters of employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance issues
- Absence management
- Delivery of induction training for new starters, consistently updating welcome pack information
- Ensuring all elements of HR administration are carried out - e.g. starters, leavers, referencing, security and compliance checks, etc
- Assist with all aspects of recruitment and selection on site
Who you are:
- Experience within a similar People/HR Advisory/Officer position
- Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards
- Previous experience within the FMCG, logistics or supply chain sector would be highly desirable, as would exposure to a unionised environment
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
