We are recruiting for a Battery Unit & Systems Engineer for our UK customer.
Objectives
Part of the European Electrified Propulsion Engineering team (EPE) team is responsible for the integration of high voltage components to help deliver the future powertrain solutions for Ford. An opportunity has opened for a Battery Unit Systems Engineer. You will have responsibility for the system design and validation of the HV battery unit and to ensure that product development deliverables and program attribute targets are met for Battery Units on Fords next generation of Electric Vehicles.
What you bring along:
- Skills required:
Demonstrable experience of working with little supervision.
Experience of attribute trade off and management.
Good working knowledge of GPDS process and utilisation of Fords Product Development toolset such as:
- Teamcenter,
- FEDE Workbench
- VSEM
- G8D
- DFMEA
Robustness & Reliability toolset
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with excellent team working skills.
- Skills preferred:
Has an enthusiasm for electrification with awareness of other vehicle area requirements and the integration conflicts that they present to deliver a vehicle level solution that meets all attributes
- Experience required:
Knowledge of HV battery technology, design and validation is desirable, however we will help you build the experience you need.
- Experience preferred:
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute technically complex projects working cross functionally.
- Education required:
Education is important to us; ideally, you’ll have a Degree in Engineering Discipline (or equivalent) in hand, or you have completed two third of formal study towards degree course and commitment to complete studies. But if that’s not the case and you have experience/skills you feel are relevant and beneficial to the role, we’re interested to hear from you.
- Education preferred:
Degree in Engineering Discipline (or equivalent)
- Additional information:
The position may involve frequent travel within the UK. Vehicle and all required equipment will be provided. Candidates must hold a full clean UK driving licence.
Position is confirmed inside IR35. Successful candidates need to be eligible to work in the UK.
