The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a client who is searching for an experienced Interim Senior Product Development Manager to work in the London area on a 13-month fixed term contract. This business is an industry giant and leader within the logistics sector and has seen many decades of strong continued success, largely due to their ability to adapt and move with their clients' expectations and demands.
This is a commercially focussed role to look after product launches and lifecycles within a selected category, to manage customer requirements and expectations, gather meaningful market information and successfully deploy new products into the market and maximise return on investment (ROI).
Your Role and Responsibilities

What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this highly exciting role, you must possess at least 5 years of commercial and operational product experience within a large, multi-layered business, and preferably with exposure to the logistics and delivery/mail industry. Candidates will also have experience managing multiple product, commercial and customer product launches. A degree in Marketing or Business is also expected, as well as excellent market analysis skills, and stakeholder management abilities. Knowledge of Ofcom and other regulatory requirements is a must, as well as knowledge of products and services that already exist in the logistics and delivery markets. Project management experience would be highly useful in this role.

What you will get in Return:
The company are offering a remuneration package dependent on previous experience and knowledge, of up to £65,000 for this role and have stated that there will be a generous bonus as well of around 18%.

Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Taking ownership of the strategic roadmap for products within the set-out category, including managing revenue and volume targets
- Addressing customer tender requests in relation to products and features in the category
- Assessing the viability of commercial options for product amendments, by undertaking costing and ROI analysis
- Releasing important commercial product amendments in response to customer needs and issues
- Working with Ofcom and other regulatory parties both internally and externally to ensure compliance with regulations
- Working with outside parties and consumer groups to ensure that product specifications meet the demands of the customers
- Supporting on organising the provision of econometric materials that are needed for product amendments
- Undertaking research on competitors and the market for similar products in order to strengthen understanding and market edge
- Conducting customer research to gain an understanding of needs and requirements
- Managing opinions from customers relating to proposals throughout the product lifecycle and actioning feedback as required
- Working with salespeople to ensure customers are called upon and using the data collected to analyse information related to the product
- Managing the introduction of the live product/service and overseeing the customer take up, closely monitoring the processes to promote the best ROI
