More about your role
Places for People leads large-scale development projects, including an 8,500-home development at Gilston Park and an 1,800-home project at the Olympic Park. We seek a Senior Technical Manager to handle the technical aspects of our high-rise scheme in Camden and infrastructure design for Gilston Park. Responsibilities include preparing planning submissions, managing consultants, and ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage technical planning submissions for Camden and infrastructure design for Gilston Park.
- Coordinate consultants, budgets, and design documents.
- Ensure statutory compliance and manage planning conditions.
- Liaise with contractors, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Provide expertise during construction and post-construction stages.
More about you
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, with extensive experience as a Design/Technical Manager on complex projects. They should have a thorough knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and planning processes, along with strong communication, prioritisation, and decision-making skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, as is holding a full UK driver's license.
Additional Information:
- Location: Gray's Inn Road, London (1-2 days per week), with site and home-based work.
- Travel to sites within and outside the M25.
