We are looking for a Applications Engineer to join our team.

The Application Engineer Level 2 role at Kaplan is a critical role responsible for overseeing the support, maintenance, and optimisation of Kaplan's web and business applications and database estate. This role requires a dynamic individual to ensure all 3rd line support activities are executed effectively, our applications maintain high levels of availability, performance and compliance with data security and regulatory standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who has experience as an Application Support Analyst, Data Administrator or Cloud Engineer, who is looking to expand their skills and build their career with an industry leader.

What you’ll bring to the role

• 
  A strong technical background in application support with an excellent

understanding of web and business applications.

• Experience in using and administering databases, with a focus on maintaining

system integrity and performance.

• Experience managing and maintaining the integrity of environments and service

viability during release management.

• Certification or equivalent demonstrable experience supporting and maintaining

cloud services .

• ITIL certification or a solid understanding and experience of ITIL practices
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under

pressure.

• Desire to share knowledge and experience in mentoring and developing

technical teams.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of liaising

effectively across various business units.

• A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with

industry trends and best practices
