We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with a development background to join our security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our computer systems and networks against threats, such as security breaches, malware, or attacks by cyber-criminals.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring security measures to protect our services running in the cloud.
• Identifying and defining system security requirements.
• Write technical reports, including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.
• Help develop and maintain secure code practices and provide hands-on training to development teams.
• The role may expect out of hours support on a rota basis, approximately 1 in every 5 weeks.

• Proven work experience as a Cybersecurity engineer or similar role.
• 3 years' experience of using cloud services with a focus on security (AWS , Azure or other).
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes and networking.
• Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection
• systems, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience of using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, backups, technologies, and methods.
• Ability to communicate security issues to peers and management.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Professional certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, etc.) is a plus.
