Job Description

  • Provide proactive tax advice in relation to M&A, group reorganisations, business operations and other commercial initiatives
  • Support in areas such holding and financing structure, permanent establishment risks, use of tax attributes, Pillar 2 etc.
  • Perform tax review of legal contracts and advice on tax optimal structures that are aligned with Statkraft’s Tax Strategy
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and advice on how new legislation impacts the business
  • Proactively manage tax risks and opportunities for your countries of responsibility
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure high quality tax compliance processes are followed and tax submissions are accurately and timely prepared
  • Provide support in managing tax enquiries and other tax controversies

Qualifications
  • CTA or ACA qualified with strong knowledge of UK and international taxation for multinational groups
  • Irish tax experience would be an advantage (but not a requirement)
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
  • A proven ability to deliver within a complex ‘matrix’ organisation, communicate with influence and deliver within robust deadlines
  • Analytical, efficient, positive and a good team player with the ability to work independently, but also balance the need to anchor with direct leader and Group Tax team
  • Very good collaboration, communication, networking and presentation skills in a multi-cultural environment and across various geographies
  • Exhibit strong commercial orientation and business acumen
  • High personal integrity and ethical standards
