- Legal entity responsibility for the IT Service agreement / intra-services agreement and the associated reporting against this; and
- Develop and manage the relationship between business area(s) and IT for the mutual business benefit of both.
- Manage the introduction / change of IT services to new and existing business lines.
- To actively promote and advance the profile of the IT department.

Our vision is to be a trusted partner and solution provider of choice. What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing Reporting directly into the Interim IT Director:
- Act as the primary interface and escalation point for IT with legal entities on a global basis, working closely with the Business and / or Operational teams.
- Drive a holistic approach between and with all business areas, ensuring Business / IT alignment, delivering the required business outcomes.
- Represent the IT function as a standing member of senior management forums.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of their Business area and Technology in order to pragmatically and effectively solve problems at all levels.
- Ensure Business needs and priorities are understood and prioritised within IT.
- Act as a role model for leadership, collaboration and best practice.
- To develop and manage the relationship between business area(s) and IT for the mutual business benefit of both.
- Work closely with the Operational leads to ensure alignment, provision of service and proactive communications across the business.
- Work with business area to understand their needs, demands and issues and what they mean for current and future IT requirements.
- Ensure that business needs are clearly understood and that IT meets their needs in an appropriate way within the parameters of cost / benefit and agreed IT design principles.
- Ensure business area expectations of IT are appropriately managed.
- Meet regularly with business teams. Solicit feedback on IT products and services; gather new needs and issues and provide status updates on current issues; provide information and updates on IT production initiatives of relevance to the business.
- Track progress and facilitate business issues through to successful completion within IT ensure they get the appropriate level of visibility and focus within the internal IT organisation whilst ensuring due process is observed.
- Provide clear feedback to internal IT stakeholders on the voice of the business to aid IT decision making and the alignment of the IT service offering to business requirements.
- Ensure transparency and fairness of cost to service to the legal entity Support improving IT control environment and reduce IT risk
- Anticipate risks and issues and take the appropriate action to mitigate and resolve.
- Facilitate issue resolution and clearly communicate cross-departmental discussions and decisions.
- Manage relationships between IT and the business area by driving, managing and updating services and Service Level Agreements.
- Work collaboratively with the other IT and business stakeholders to ensure an integrated, joined up business focused approach.
- To actively promote and advance the profile of the IT department. Communicate in positive language about all aspects of the IT department and its personnel.
- Act in accordance with the MS Amlin culture and be an advocate.
- Act as an effective member of the IT Leadership team.
- Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations
- Liaise with relevant and associated areas and groups within the business process to establish, support and maintain business relationships and organisational effectiveness
- Undertake any other duties of a similar nature that the company reasonably requests to be performed that are within the expertise and skills of the jobholder. These may be subject to periodic review and any updates and changes to be introduced after consultation with the person concerned.
- Experience of delivering an IT Business Partner role to support multiple business streams.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of the insurance industry.
- Broad understanding of IT Programme/Project Management.
