IT Infrastructure Engineer Full Time

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Telecommunications company who are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

You will be providing day to day hands on technical support and management of the internal Corporate and Customer managed IT Infrastructure and projects.

Responsibilities

· Oversee, maintain, and provide support for both physical and virtual infrastructures, including network storage, backup systems, and recovery solutions within our key networks. This also involves daily network administration tasks to ensure consistent service availability.

· Manage, maintain, and support the IT infrastructure across corporate environments, remote offices, and customer locations, ensuring smooth integration and operation.

· Ensure all server builds and network configurations (both for corporate and customer environments) comply with relevant IT security policies and accreditation standards. Additionally, manage and support security infrastructures.

· Maintain compliance for server operating systems, server applications, and client licenses by tracking purchases, usage, and performing regular audits.

· Continuously monitor server and service performance to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.

· Oversee email systems management, including Exchange, cloud-based continuity services, SPAM filtering, and mobile device management (MDM).

· Adhere to and enforce the department’s change control processes and procedures.

Required Skills

· Extensive experience in managing virtual environments, particularly VMware.

· Expertise in managing email services such as Microsoft Exchange, SPAM filtering, cloud messaging, and continuity services.

· Strong knowledge of Windows OS administration, including Active Directory management, Group Policy, user/group management, and PowerShell scripting.

· Proficiency in maintaining server and storage hardware, including NAS and SAN systems.

· Solid understanding of IT security principles, including antivirus measures, hard drive encryption, client system hardening, and authentication methods.

· Experience in high availability environments, including clustering and disaster recovery.

· Strong foundational knowledge of IP networking.

· Ability to obtain Direct Vetted Status (DV) clearance.
